Wednesday afternoon club
We are a small group of non political and non religious- senior citizens meeting every Wednesday afternoon from 1.30pm until 3.00pm for a chat and cup of tea.
We have craft afternoons on alternative months making gift cards, tags, bags and boxes. We have cake icing competitions for a small prize, then eat the buns with the cup of tea.
We have a variety of speakers. Police, fire prevention officers, guide dogs for the blind, Age concern to highlight different resources and benefits along with guidance to see what is available. We have quizzes and play bingo.
Once a month we hire a mini bus to go to a garden centre and feed the ducks or an educational place of interest and then on for lunch.
